The community speed watch team use a speed radar gun to check vehicle speeds and record vehicle registrations of those who are speeding. The results are sent to the Police and warning letters sent to registered owners. Further action may be taken by the Police for persistent offenders, including prosecution.
This activity is totally dependant on villagers volunteering an hour or so of their time to monitor and record any speeding vehicles.
